Cannabliss Dispensary
So I spent the day being a couch potato & blogging I did do some movie watching & it felt good. I later cooked dinner which was spaghetti it was a quick fix. When I’m not being a couch potato I work as a budtender at a black owned DC marijuana dispensary. Cannabliss is the only black owned marijuana dispensary in DC. I have worked at the dispensary for close to four years and this is the first employer who pays a living wage.
If you would have asked me several years ago would I work at a marijuana dispensary I would have said no. I have worked at many different places & I struggled to keep a roof over my head as well as my kids I’ve been evicted and if you have ever been evicted you know how that feel. Before I started working at the dispensary I struggled to provide the basics & I went into a deep depression. But since working there I have had two pay raises & have moved up in my position I no longer am worried or stressed so now I can pursue my passion of writing.
Working at Cannabliss has been a blessing and I enjoy what I do although it can be stressful at times I wouldn’t change a thing. Every day I am helping someone to manage their pain and their mental health.
I’ve also learned the health benefits of marijuana(weed) and there are many which I will discuss at a later time. I’m helping to destigmatize marijuana.
