Today I ready myself to go to the Mardi Gras celebration. Of course I took metro which never fails to entertain. I made sure to wear my mask because COVID is still around. I wore my winter coat because it was going to get cooler this evening but I'm wondering if I should have because I was hot on the train but it doesn't help that I'm going through menopause. If I had worn a jacket I would have been freezing so either way I'm going to be good. As I traveled I was in doubt that I would make it in time to see the Mardi Gras parade at the Warf and the trains were crowded. I'm baffled why it's so crowded.
Everyone is out and the atmosphere is intoxicating and festive. I don't know about anyone else but I'm feeling the vibe. There is somewhat of a wait for the parade to start.
Everyone in the parade was beautifully decorated.
Once the parade started it was a party that didn't end.
This was my first but it will not be my last and all the floats and participants were beautiful. I enjoyed my time and I plan to go again next year.
