I watched the whole entire series and it was eye opening and jaw dropping. I watched this woman Anna scam her way through every person she met and she acted like she was wealthy heiress and socialite which she wasn’t.
When she got arrested and a journalist came to interview her that’s when we finally are told her story. And even in jail she tried to get her way and it showed her arrogance. The series also showed her downfall especially when she and a few friends went out of the country and they got in a bit of a pickle I will say it was a big one but her friends hurriedly went back to the states leaving her behind.
The trip to Morocco really exposed her as she was a scam artist who almost got her new friends locked up abroad.
This woman scammed the wealthiest of people in New York and hotels and it shows how she never pays her bills. She had friends but she used them and stole money from them to the point that when she got locked up they disappeared but I don’t blame them.
As I watched the series I could tell exactly what she was because we all know and have had heard of those like her. This series was a precautionary tale for all of us to be aware and not so gullible just because they talk, dress and live expensive because the truth is they have no more than we do.
In the end she destroyed businesses, relationships, families and friendships and this series makes you truly think what you consider important to you. After watching this I had empathy for everyone involved except for Anna because she did it to herself so does that make me a hypocrite.
