As I get ready for work my mind is on what is to come and that is flying. I will be flying Delta Airlines so my points will be increased which I’ll be happy about and for some crazy reason I trust them which I don’t know if it’s a good or bad thing. I’ve flown with them before and had no issues other than the usual turbulence. The total flight time is 7 hours 26 minutes and that seems long but it really isn’t but I do have one stop over I never do none stop. The one stop gives me time to stretch my legs and I get a break which is needed so I can go to the bathroom and get some food. I know I can use the bathroom on the plane but my fear is getting stuck on the toilet and of course I have the movie Soul Plane to thank and if you know, you know. I will have one carry on so I will not need to check anything because I’ve heard many horror stories about people who have checked their luggage in and never seen it again. I do enjoy the Reagan National Airport they have so much there from shops to restaurants although it can get confusing on which way to go but there is always some one to help you. I always get to the airport early because there is always a line at TSA. When I’m going through TSA I always where my flippers so I can easily take my shoes off and on although the machine that they have you stand in is a little bit intimidating and I always wonder exactly what can they actually see and then there is the pat down which I never understood because if you stand in the machine then why do they still need to pat you down. I just wish they would offer a sista food afterwards because if you gonna pat me down that’s the least you can do. When I pack I always roll my clothes so they can see without difficulty what is in my bag but for this trip I will be taking my dress for the wedding which will be in a garment bag which will be folded in my suitcase. Going through TSA might be a little challenging because I will need to pull & open my garment bag for them to see so we will see.
I get to work and we have a new strain called Cheetah Piss I have no idea where they come up with these names and do they really expect us to be able to say it without hesitation. I’d love to be the bug on the wall when they coming up with these name.
I will be gone from work for a week and yes I will be missing my coworkers who are super best but at least in Washington State the weed is legal and no card is needed so I might visit a shop while I’m there I haven’t decided yet. I know it’s going to be a busy as soon as I land.
It took me a minute to get back in the swing of things because I’d been gone for a minute.
The one thing I will not be able to do is go visit Forks (where the movie Twilight was filmed) it’s an actual place so it’s not made up but that’s fine because I’ve visited it the last time I was there and yes the residents are very pale but so welcoming. On my next visit to Seattle I plan to visit the town.
I will be going to my favorite eatery Deanwood Deli to have lunch. My favorite is there wings. In about two days I have an important meeting to attend and then afterwards I can completely focus on my week ahead.
I will have to say my coworkers kept me smiling all day.
