I have always enjoyed reading the V.C Andrews books she is the reason I got interested in writing. I’ve read the entire series and have watched most of the made for tv movies. After watching this made for tv movie I now understand the Foxworth history and the main characters. The family history is complicated and there are so many secrets.
I learned how it all began and how Corrine’s father Malcolm Foxworth who was a very wealthy sexual predator and who married Olivia Winfield and even though he had children by his wife, he ended up getting his step mother pregnant and that’s how Corrine became apart of the family. Malcolm didn’t stop he got his servant pregnant and made sure that the servant and her daughter was taken care of and the servant continued to work for him.
The way Olivia kept the secrets of her husband indiscretions I now understand why she was so bitter towards Corrine and her future grandchildren. She also was fiercely protective of Corrine who wasn’t her daughter but she agreed to raise her to protect the family secret.
I’m not going to say anymore about this movie but the father was ruthless. It is a must see. I left out a lot but that’s because it’s so much and I’d rather for you to see for yourself.
